Just for a Day or Two

We have Sparkles Every Day in our Craft and in our Smiles!

“My favourite Camp Ever!”       Charlotte, Camper

The Kitchen Ceili!

Nova Scotia is known world wide for their Kitchen Ceili parties.  Ceili (Irish spelling) or Ceilidh (Scottish spelling), pronounced Kay-Lee, means gathering or party.  Ceilis are an enormous part of our Canadian Celtic Culture, especially here on the East Coast.

These parties start after dinner.  As conversation, food, and drinks diminish, stories, music, and dancing begin.  These traditions are kept alive and past down to the younger generation.  In recent years the Kitchen Ceili has been happening less and less.  This camp brings these parties alive!

  Everyone is Welcome!

What Campers will do Every Day!

All great parties have food!!!

Campers will be making some food every day.  The receipes will go home with them at the end of the week so that they can recreate their creations with their families at your next Celtic Kitchen Ceili Party!

“It’s a very fun and EXCITING TIME at Camp!

We Dance and Play lots!

Elizabeth, age 7

We DANCE!!

No previous Dance Experience required for camp!

If you can walk, you can dance!

We are born dancing!  Ever seen a baby on it’s back, their arms and legs are moving all the time.  What about a wee one in a Jolly Jumper?  The feet are just moving constantly!  We are born to dance.

At camp we’ll teach basic moves that turn into eye catching footwork to WOW any crowd.

“I can’t wait to go to March Break Camp!”

Siobhan, dancer aged 8

Music starts with an instrument

in your child’s hands!

The Tin Whistle is a fantastic Irish Traditional instrument for beginners.

Every camper will be able to play at least one tune on the whistle by the end of camp!

What to Bring to Camp

A Water Bottle

So that you can stay hydrated during the day.  There is a sink for refilling on site.

Outdoor Gear Including:

snow gear, sunscreen, and a hat

So that when we go outside campers will stay warm and dry or will not turn into lobsters.  At this time of year it could be either.

Dance Shoes

Bring any dance shoes you have that fit you, no dance shoes, no problem, socks and clean indoor shoes are fine too!

Your Own Morning Snack and Lunch

So that campers will enjoy the foods they are used to.  A light snack will be given in the afternoon.
